Is there an easier way to get the cab off of the frame then just brute force? I had my son bring over some friends to help...there was five of us and the emo kid on my side of the cab was zero help. it was just me. he actually let go and ran because he thought I was going to drop it...so it was three on one side and me. I do not want to do that again.

I have a cherry picker and was trying to think of some way to make a tool for it. But so far I have not came up with a decent Idea.

I made a cross bracket to bolt onto my engine lift. It lifts from the top of the door openings. You have to have a way to keep it centered or it will slide to the heavy end and thats a mess.

These pictures are not my design. Someone here on the board made it and they get the credit for it. I just happened to have saved the pictures. I don't remember who it was. But its a nice gaget for you hoist

I had the doors off of my cab and I put two 2 x 8's (stacked making a 4 x 8) through the cab and tied chains to the end and then lifted with a tractor.

thanks for the feedback. I realized that the rafters above my cab might be able to support the cab. then all i have to do is role out the old frame and role the new frame in and lower the cab.

I am still weeks away from having to deal with this so I have time to work out the details.
