Help With Sensors
I am rebuilding a 72 C10 and I have found 2 sensors that I don't know where they go. They are both the same thread pattern - I am guessing on is the oil sensor and the other is the water temperature sensor. One has a flat end where the wire goes and the other has a end with a tap on it. I found a hole on the right side of the 350 SB where I believe one goes, but I don't know which one goes there and I can't find where the other one goes. Please help.

Sounds like they're both water temp sensors, most of the oil sensors I've seen have 1/8" or 1/4" pipe threads on them. Temp sensors usually screw into the heads and oil is usually at the rear of the intake or around the oil filter area.

look on the other head, there should be a hole on that one too.
Does/did your truck have dummy lights, or guages on it when you took it apart? |
