New Truck

Check out my donor truck. I purchased it for the engine to go into my 71 C10 with a 68 front clip. Hope to use engine, trans and acc.

Re: New Truck

I can understand wanting a big block, but that truck looks well-optioned for a parts donor and very complete. ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THIS??? A set of wheels would dress this thing up, big time....well, that and getting rid of the West Coast Jr. mirrors.

Re: New Truck

The engine was rebuilt 6 yrs. ago but, hasn't been cranked since according to the PO. It appears to be pretty clean though.

Re: New Truck

Yeah, the bed is what is so nice about it. I will try to get some pics of it tomorrow. I plan to either piece it out or sell the truck without the eng. I have sent a money order to Josh last week, maybe I be able to get it on the parts board soon.

Re: New Truck

I'll be the 1st in line to part a truck that is beyond repair, but that is not a parts truck!!!

But wait...It is yours afterall, do what you want with it.

At least do the "sell whole without a motor" thing.

Re: New Truck

Great find, but I'd leave the truck together.

To each their own...

Re: New Truck

i'll say it too what the hell are you thinking? thats not just a bb thats a dam fine truck there. big blocks are all over for $500 trucks like that don't come that easy. i would rethink dismanteling that truck. whats wrong with having two nice trucks?

Re: New Truck

Same here, I would leave it together too. The donor that I bought for the A/C and 402 was an old farm truck, not something nice like this one. I would even trade you my A/C, 402 and tranny just to keep that nice truck on the road. But bottom line, it is yours and maybe someone will benefit from the parts you do sell.

Re: New Truck

It's hard to get good parts from crap trucks. Looks to be a decent shape truck, and you should be able to sell whatever you don't use. Makes sense to me.

Re: New Truck

I will avoid piecing out the truck if I can find a buyer for it w/o the engine, trans. etc. That's what I prefer. The engine only has 10K on it but, it has been parked for 6 yrs. The bed is really nice, the front clip is OK. The cab is a air cab but it has rot in the rockers. The doors are rusted pretty bad in the bottom. I have sent Josh a money order to join the forum, about a week ago. I hope the truck and some other parts I have in the parts for sale forum soon.
