Nice day in Denver...photo opp!

I Needed some room in my shop, so pulled Lil' Red outside...the sun is a shining...she kinda had a sparkle going....I realized this was a photo opp! LOL!

Going to put a fake gas filler and chrome cap to fill up the original fill hole...it's in the works!

Re: Nice day in Denver...photo opp!

Front drop is 4.5" and the rear drop is 4". I have thought about swapping out the rear springs for some 5" drops....so ahhh no air shocks.

Re: Nice day in Denver...photo opp!

That truck looks great. I wouldn't drop the rear at all. I would find some taller, fatter rubber to stuff in there to "fill" that whellwell better....but, that's the way I like 'em!

If you have 4.5 in front, you need to go 6 in back. JMO.

Re: Nice day in Denver...photo opp!

Some love it the way it is...others say fatter tires, and yet some say 6" drop in the rear. Maybe the happy medium is to drop it one more inch in the rear to 5"??? Still have some rake but maybe not as radical??? Gonna brew on it a while. I do appreciate all the cool comments!

Alex, measure from the ground to the wheel wells. Carefully set up a jack under the far rear cross sill, then pull the rear springs out. Then lower the rear until it sits like you like it. Measure the wheel wells again and see what the difference is. Bammo, you'll know what springs you need!

Re: Nice day in Denver...photo opp!

I agree with what the other guys are sayin! The truck looks great and it should be how you want it. But since you asked..........If it was mine I would either lower the back another inch and raise the front one or lower the back 2 more inches. My own personal truck is done 3.5 and 6.

Re: Nice day in Denver...photo opp!

Sure looks great! I'd probably do the remove spring thing and get it sitting where you want it. It's a little high IMO but I do like a little rake. I'm guessing 1" down would be about right for my liking. I can sure say I'd drive that beauty as it sits right now and have a big smile on my face!

After you do that make sure that anyone who might put gas in your truck knows that the front cap is a prop! I have a good friend who put 10 gallons of fuel into his buddies cab before realizing the tank had been moved.

Truck looks great! My truck, and the entire inside of my garage are that color too.
