Inside the Grain Bin Garage

In a recent thread I promised to get some shots inside the bin if I could get some of the junk moved out. With the help of a young man Eric Armstrong we have the shop up and running even if some more junk has to go.

Re: Inside the Grain Bin Garage

The last group. It don't tell the whole story but we will save that for later.

The wood and pipe is to build a cover for the air compressor and pipe air into the shop. As you can see he is working hard on my old 78 Camaro. He works a day job at a local body shop then comes over after work and on weekends.

One question Ron....is the upstairs for storage? I assume it is and for the bin- shop idea, that is a great use of something you already had on site!

Yes it is for parts storage and it is crammed full at the moment. I have to throw away a lot of treasures to make room for more of the parts we will be taking off the trucks we dismantle.

Re: Inside the Grain Bin Garage

That`s one shop I`d like to be`round.I just moved out of my seed`n`fertilizer bin(rectangular).I joined the two,but you could tell the seed side from the fertilizer side. The fertilizer side concrete was all pitted and pocked.

I've always thought you had a really cool shop. I dig the shiny compressor you have, too.

Love this pic, the white shortbed looks like it's about to back up under and hook the semi-trailer for hauling

I'm going to be moving that big rascal soon but I will borrow my buddy's Peterbilt road tractor. I don't own any way of moving it.

Re: Inside the Grain Bin Garage

Great, 1 more thing on the want list. Looks great. I have a buddy that has a smaller one for storing his parts. I never thought of a grain bin as a shop though. What is the diameter of it?
