Brake question?
A couple of weeks ago I had 4 new drums, 4 new wheel cylinders, and new shoes all the way around installed. I have driven it a few hundred miles. Well this morning I get in it and the pedal goes to the floor. At first you could pump the brakes and the pedal would firm up but not any longer. I am thinking master cylinder. What do you think?

Do you have any brake fluid leaking down the inside or outside of the firewall below the master cylinder? Is the Master cyl low on fluid? Is there brake fluid on any of the backing plates or running down the inside of any of the tires? This will give you some things to look for and will help the guys on here diagnose the problem..... I agree with LockDoc, also look at your flex hoses!

I don't see any sign of the wheel cylinders or the master cylinder leaking. The master cylinder is full of fluid.

I guess I would have to say MC then. Even if you have a lot of air in the lines they should pump up to something..... Try pumping the pedal by hand 5 - 10 times and pull the pedal all the way back instead of letting it come back on it's own. Do they pump up at all then? LockDoc

My Dad turned me on to a guy who will replace it including the part for
$70-85. I don't rally know how to been blled the new one so I am going to drop it off tonight. I figured for that price I would just have it done and have him replace fluid and bled.
