gas tank swap

i found a gas tank out of a 73 sub.what is entailed in putting it under my 64?does the sending unit need to be changed or????

hopefully the reply is not to late,
the sending unit should work granted the gauge is set up for it. ie 30 ohms or 90 ohms or which ever the sending unit is, if you miss match them then you will never get an accurate reading. the sending unit in the tank is set up to measure the fuel level in the tank,then send the corresponding signal to the needle. Just remember the E is for enough to get there an walk back.
