All i like in finishing it is painting the bed, I will post more pictures when i get it finish it.
Every thing is original on this truck except the HEI Dist and new type alternator,I have a set of original wheels for it and i need a 68 steering wheel for it. I put all new wiring, all new brakeing parts, all new front end sup. The only things i ditn't put in new was the rear end, joints and steering box.

Nice looking truck!

On a side note...someone needs to combine the 3 or 4 other picture threads you posted into one thread...

Re: Update on my 68 50TH

STOP!!!!!!!!!!! You are killing me........I am dying to get one of mine to the paint shop. Oriiginal is the only way to go on these. What paint did you use? Are you going to redo the seat in the original cloth or vinyl? Was your truck a Custom Comfort option or CST?

Re: Update on my 68 50TH

Luv2xclr8 I am in the process of getting a steering wheel, a repro. 72Armyswbtruck The shop is 30x46 central air condition&heat.
Stllookn The paint is PGP base coat clear coat, Anniversary Gold Off White 551 The seats should be parchment&off white trim, but that was as near as we could fine at the time, I am going to order the correct cloth from SMS soon.the truck is a custom group Z62ED 50TH Anniversary.

Re: Update on my 68 50TH

Woodchip...I have the cloth from SMS waiting for my son to do my seat...like that will ever happen any time soon. The cloth they have is PERFECT. I have toured their facilities and they are first class. They also have the perfect vinyl as well. Great job on your 50th!!!!

Yes that is a stock intake manifold ,every thing on the truck is original. I did make a bracket to mount the recovery bottle on,

The intake looks like a passenger car hi-rise. My 402 has the intake almost flush with the heads. Very low set, I guess for a low RPM power band. Maybe the older BB Trucks had pass car style intakes on them?
