Hybrid combo on evilbay

This is an interesting combo. I don't think that I'd do something like this.....but I do admire the amount of work that went into it......Mikey

Interesting truck. All the spelling errors in the description bug me, though.

I like it. It looks like it could have been built like that at the factory, very seemless transition.

Spelling errors make me weary as well. Kinda makes you think though. Maybe the guy is loaded and not to computer savy and just shelled out the cash to have it all done.....Mikey

Re: Hybrid combo on evilbay

man that almost looks factory, like some took just the cab from a 68 and dropped it on a modern body. I truly like that look. GMC should take a hint from this fabricator

Not to hammer away at the point, but those spelling errors are pretty basic and repeated several times. I don't know whether that is laziness, or just a poor understanding of the language. Either way, it can't help but reflect on your impression of the writer.

All that fab work and expensive paint. I can't believe it is only going for $5000. Does any one else think that is strange?

Re: Hybrid combo on evilbay

Whoever fabbed this thing up has mad skills-fershizzle! I can totally respect the craftsmanship and presumed attention to detail (the pics aren't that great ya' know). However, I find the overall vision to be less than impressive. If I wanted my truck to look like a 2002 GMC, I would have bought a 2002 GMC and had a chameleon pearl paint job done and thrown on some 20 inch hoops and most likely be money ahead. Personally, I bought, wrench on, and drive a classic chevy because I actually like classic chevy's.

IMO- this is another truck that will be relegated to the "Yuk Bucket".

I wonder if the doors still make that familiar bang sound when you close them, or if they worked that out of it too!....lol

Re: Hybrid combo on evilbay

thats retarted,

why build an old chasis to look like a new truck.. you can buy that body style for less than what he has in it and have a lot nicer ride.. quieter. smoother. more comfertable. i no the reason i love my truck is cause of the ease it is to work on so theres a plus for this one. but other than that i love my truck for the vintage and the style.. to me he took all the bad qualities of both worlds and put them into one. it looks alright and probably drives alright but in my opinion is still secound best in both cases..

Re: Hybrid combo on evilbay

The height and shape of the cab top "ranger-izes" the look. It does seem to flow well - alot better than I would have suspected. I think I like it. I think... With that said, it's been up for 2 day with only 1 bid....

I'm just glad to read (or try to read) an ebay description that does not reference a "RARE!!" find. I absolutely hate the ebay 'marketing' that people think is neccessary to sell their crap. A spell-checker would have been a good idea.

Re: Hybrid combo on evilbay

Why do people climb mountains? Because they are there. Why do some people do different things? Because they can. People do not need what we call legitimate reasons to do something that not everyone else can do. They do them because they can or want to. As long as it is not hurting someone else, I would say why not? WES
