Re: K20 question

I have never seen a K20 with any more/less then 8 lugs, but I know that some of the later 2500 series light 3/4 ton trucks did have 6 lugs. Cb

Re: K20 question

The dude`s confused or playing know-it-all with something he knows little about. No 6-lug K/20s.

Re: K20 question

He must be thinking of the later model stuff, I had a 97 C-2500 that had 6 lug wheels. I guess you would call it a lighter duty 3/4 ton. I think the GVW was 6800 Lbs vs 8600 for the usual 3/4.

Yeah,we`re talkin` 6 BIG LUGS.Sounds like a newbie that needs to come on here and learn a thing or two.Better yet...you stay here and tell him everything(in a modest matter of fact non-boasting kind of way,of course ).

Re: K20 question

He might know something there.The`71s had black accent around the outer surround and`72s didn`t.The sun has faded most`71s,but there`s usually a trace of black. So,it takes a close look, usually.

Re: K20 question

When i have my old 69 GMC 1500 SWB I was told at least once a month that someone had swapped in a 3/4 ton suspention since it was a 6 lug.

the problem with someone who knows everything, is you can't tell them anything.

Re: K20 question

Andy,I can`t tell you anything???BTW...Gmcs were heavier duty, especially the frames.I weghed boths emblems and they are within grams of one another, but the GMC hood letters weighed more.

Re: K20 question

maybe the guy works at Auto Zone... those a$$es can't tell a spark plug from a butt plug without their computer. I tried to convince the guy that my 68 327 had a 4bbl, he wouldn't buy it though!

Re: K20 question

All GMC grilles interchange with both hoods. The difference is in the surrounds. But,you don`t need them, like a`67.
