Parts truck

Truck is $600. Looking to get rid of it quick.

Just wondering if anyone is interested in a parts truck in the SE Minnesota, Rochester area. It was a 1969 GMC 4x4. Has a cab on now from TX. Also both front fenders. The doors are decent, but would need some lower skin work. The bed is pretty much shot. It has 8 lug Dana 44's, with 35x12.5 tires on 16.5 rims. Truck has been sitting for some time, so sure tires are shot. 3 hold air and one slowly leaks.
Truck has both driveshafts, tranny, and transfer case, but as sitting for a while dont know the condition of ujoints, etc. There is no engine for it, as it's in my 71. There is also no title for it, so it is for parts only and would still need assembly to finish for the most part.

I will get pictures up here within a few days as I'm out of town now and pictures are on home computer. I am looking to get $600 for it.

Thanks,

Brandon

Re: Parts truck

I believe that if the transfer case is a divorced case with a short drive shaft between the transmission and transfer case it is the timkin t-221 if it is atached to the transmission it would be a np-205. I could be wrong though.

Re: Parts truck

Could you get some more pics of the Roll Bar? Does it mount on the frame? What would you want for it? How much for the whole truck?

Re: Parts truck

No the roll bar does not mount to the frame, just bolted to the box.

Also if that is the case of the transfer cases. It would sound like the 205, it just has a toothed sleeve adapter between the output of the tranny and input of the t-case.

Re: Parts truck

I'm more looking at getting rid of the truck whole. If someone was interested in bigger areas (cab, frame, etc) I would then look into parting out smaller items. Work is busy, not leaving me a lot of time to pull and ship.

Re: Parts truck

4x4 with AC. Does it have the vacuum pot and metal bracket on the heater/AC box under the hood? I need both the bracket and vacuum can.

Re: Parts truck

The cab isn't original for the 4x4. It is an AC cab, no components for it under the hood.

And I wish I had time for a trip like that!!

Re: Parts truck

Well I still have the whole truck, but after seeing some more trucks and winter coming around the corner. I have turned around and decided I want to finish the 4x4.

So I still have the cab, doors, fenders, hood and some parts here or there. But the 4x4 frame and running gear I am keeping.

I was thinking like $500 for the cab and doors. And not sure about the rest yet. If anyone is interested in any of the parts let me know. Bigger items would need to be picked up. I don't really have a lot of time for shipping of smaller items, so would prefer pick up. But something could always be worked out.

Thanks for looking!!

Re: Parts truck

Brandon,

I may be interested in the whole truck.

A few questions though:

Is it still as pictured or has it been stripped even further that it was.

Are all the powertrain components besides the engine present? Any problems with them?
I see you decided to sell the whole truck again, did you find out something about the 4 x4 system?

Could you send me your Zip so I can see how far a drive it is?

Thanks,
John
