couldn't pass this one up!
Man like I need another truck...well...... This truck was to hard to pass up! Its a clean and unmolested 1961 big back window swb six cylinder and 2 speed auto. It's complete and runs good. My plans are to keep it simple, lower it, big white walls (big and little tires) make it street worthy, and a quick respray on the body kinda rockabilly style. Me and nephew jake tore it apart today, power washed the motor and replaced one of the doors . I got a few projects going. This one should be a piece of cake! Who knows, maybe this will be the demo for the drop member for the 60-61 trucks...?

Re: couldn't pass this one up!
nice score, i wouldnt want to pass it up either... I would leave the paint just how it is, just slam it, stripe it, and put some smoothies on it

Re: couldn't pass this one up!
Nice! You have to love the hood on those 61's That nose just looks HOT when it's all detailed up. Very fortunate to find one thats not all whacked up. Enjoy the hard work!

Re: couldn't pass this one up!
I talked to a buddy that is in the tow biz. He says to get together with a tow yard in your area and work out a deal with them to write it up as a drag off the highway deal. They can apply for a non recovery title and sell it to you for a dollar. Should be just that easy. Good luck!

Re: couldn't pass this one up!
Yeah i am thinking of leaving the paint the way it is,looks slick I dumped the truck 6 " in front and 5 in the rear, got a big set of 5" white walls,( one on b/o from socal) spent all day power washing and my nephews jake and dave spent 1/2 day scraping the frame, should have it done and on the road this weekend , i well have some more pic soon
