Re: whats the deal?

Short Wheel Base, Long Wheel Base is correct usage as is step side and fleetside. I never heard of a short narrow bed or short wide bed until I joined here.

Re: whats the deal?

Different strokes for different folks I guess. If you come down this way and ask about a snb people are gonna look at you like you lost your mind.

BTW this has been discussed before:

Re: whats the deal?

well as far as "correct" usage goes, out here on the west coast people would look at you crazy if you said swb when you have a step side bed.i think its just where your from that makes one "correct".i worked at a classic chevy parts supplier, new and used, and never heard swb being for short wheel base etc...but its neat that different parts of the country have these little nuances.

You know, now that you mention it...I HAVE heard of "wide box" and "wide bed" used on occasion. As a matter of fact, I kinda wondered what a non "wide" box fleetside looked like. I guess there is no such thing. Now I know, and I can pass on my superior knowledge to the masses!

Re: whats the deal?

never heard of snb or lnb. If always known WB as wheel base, not wide bed.

I just call it a short step just to make it easy on everybody.
