Re: Cab repair panels, what do i need?

first thing you need are ebfabman's videos www.ebfabman.com

For your pass side its hard to tell from the pics, could be surface rust but it looks rough. Only thing you show is the floor pan so hard to judge on what it'll need.

Driver's side you'll be after front floor panel, outer rocker and kick panel. Depending on the damage and your skill you'll probably need the rear floor panel as well. Looks like some rust on the lower front of the door so you may need an outer and inner panel for that, again pics don't really show. The condition of the lower A and B pillars isn't seen but odds are good they'll need replacing as well.

I don't think anyone makes a patch for the top of your cab but that looks like a fairly easy fix.

How are your cab corners?

media blasting first will show all your trouble spots and make it a lot nicer to work on

wont make things worse? i mean i know i gotta cut most of the rust out anyway, or sand it down, but it would worsen things that are already bad?

I think the blasting is the only way to go it will save you more time by showing you the true areas that need attention with no suprises. In my opinion its the only way to get rid of all the cancer before you start the build and to make sure its gone for good.

Rust isn't structural. The blasting might show you some spots that need to be fixed but wouldn't you rather find out sooner than later?

Good call on the mounts though Bucky71, I forgot all about them.
