Question Will a 15 x 10 rear wheel/tire setup fit a stepside??

I know that some guys here on the board run 15x10's on the rear of thier fleetsides, but to me it looks like that the well for my stepside is a narrower. Is that just an illusion? I plan on going with 4.5" offset Corvette Rallys. does anyone see a problem????

I want to float this question out there before I buy something that doesn't fit!!!!!

thanks guys.

You should have no problem.

Re: Will a 15 x 10 rear wheel/tire setup fit a stepside??

I was looking for the same info - I saw some 15 x 10" truck rallies on ebay - 4.5 offset and thought those would help fill out the rear wheel wells better but didn't know if that was the best offset to go with / or what tire size will fit. 275 60 15?

Re: Will a 15 x 10 rear wheel/tire setup fit a stepside??

I had 15 x 8 Rallys with 4-1/2'' bs wrapped with 275/60/15's on my '69 step - they were very close to rubbing against the bed wall on the inside of the tire. I could just slide my fingers between the two.
A couple weeks ago, I got my wheels back from being widened to 12'' with a 7-1/2'' bs. Cut the bedsides, installed wheel tubs inside the bed, and now the 31 x 16.5 x 15 M/T Sportsmans fill the space nicely. or maybe

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
