Finally
Well, it seems like every time I tried to get a 67-72 something came up. I had one where I was about to go pay and I got a phone call. The guy I was to buy from calls and says, "Sorry I can't sell it to ya. My dad wants it". Which I can understand but doesn't mean that I have to like it. Anyways. Yesterday I became the proud owner of a 72 short bed. It has rust on the bottoms of the doors and a few other minor spots. Other wise it is in very good shape. It has been rebuilt, but it's been a few years since it happened. And it's been outside the whole time. It has a 454 in it. Alright enough yappin'. Here's the pics. Oh I paid $7000. How did I do?
Now I just need to finish up an 89 Chevy with bags so I can get started on this one. Dale Last edited by dirtyd_nd; 09-22-2007 at 12:50 PM. Reason: pics didn't show the first time |

Re: Finally
70cst It is a 72 with parts from other years.
bad6772 They are 17" Eagle alloys. I think they are an older version of the 218s. The Eagles might be for sale here for long. I might put a set of 18 Budnik Mercury on it. Oh and I'm very happy with the truck. I was just wondering if I got a good price. |

Re: Finally
Congrats... Great looking truck. I'd have to say you got a great deal. $7,000 for a big block shortbox that looks that good.

Re: Finally
Looks like a great deal to me too. I think 7K for an sweet looking air conditioned short bed rat powered fleetside is reasonable. Where else can you get a head turning hauler for that price that instantly qualifies you for car shows and cruise nights?
BTW, I used to live on Jax's Southside. Am in RI now. So congrats on a great buy from a fellow Jackson-villain.

Re: Finally
ChevLoRay The bad thing though, I know myself. I'll change and fix a lot. I don't even want to think about the price tag when it is all said and done.
Thanks for all the comments guys. |

Re: Finally
Nice looking truck. Drive it for a while, have fun, before you tear it down to far. I wish I had done that with mine to enjoy it more before I started my mess.
