Glad I just ordered that HEI...

Well, I got a few things done this weekend, see this post:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=2371393

I buttoned all that stuff up and decided to make a cruising video. Fired the truck up, was letting it warm up a little while cleaning the interior up a bit, and the truck just died. No spark now, but still have power to the HEI. I guess something died, probably the module or pickup coil. Sure glad the new Jeg's HEI will be here Tuesday.

I had been having big problems with the tach jumping like crazy above 2200 RPMs, I guess there was something wrong with the guts of the distributor after all

Re: Glad I just ordered that HEI...

I forgot to mention it's a 30 year old HEI. The module came out of an 80 malibu. It had been in the weather for quite some time before I got it. I can't complain, it's worked for 6 years.

By working, you mean it's sat for 5 of those 6 years. ;lol:

What an ass.

It's been started regularly for 6 years.........well...every 6 months or so

All that doesn't matter much now, I'll have the new one tomorrow or Wednesday.
