How to figure out how much lift is ON my truck?

Ok so the guy I bought my truck from said its got a 6" lift on it. It's got 35s on it right now and they look small. I am going to get 37s but after reading everyones comments it seems they MAY be a little big. I am thinking it's got an 8 inch lift on it. Anyone have any ideas? I believe it's a BDS lift.....at least the shocks say that and the springs have blue bushings in them.

How old are the springs? Are there numbers (PN) still showing on top of the main leaf?

Show us some pics; can usually tell by the space between the top of the tire & fender well.

This is the only one I have right now I think it's a 6, it doesnt have the drop pitman arm. But the gap looks HUGE!
