Cool Price question survey / 84 GMC

Hi...
I got an 84 GMC that I am thinking of selling.
I need to determine what to ask for it.

It's an 84, white, 1/2 ton - originally a federal 305/700R4 10-Bolt rear leaf truck.
It now has a rebuilt 4-Bolt main Target 350 in her at .030 over, heads completely redone with new valves, hard seats, etc etc.
Edelbrock intake & rebuilt carb.
She has about 10,000 miles on the new motor.
Runs great!
I had the front suspension completely rebuilt, ball joints, bushings, tie rods...everything.
She now just had new rotors installed up front, rebuilt the calipers, re-adjust the rear shoes, turn the rotors and drums, and re-pressurize the system.
Works perfectly.
Driveshaft, carrier bushing, and u-joints all re-done and balanced.

The interior is still original, and in used condition.
The seat could take a recovering.
Tilt, non-A/C, non power, fleet order truck here locally.

The biggest thing about this truck is that it has a Waltco LiftGate on her!
This thing picks up near everything I put on it!

15X6 rims.

She drives near anywhere I take her!

What should I ask for this truck???

Thanx!

Re: Price question survey / 84 GMC

I would guess $1500-2000, since it has a newer engine. Seems like the endgate would be a take it or leave it deal. I personally wouldn't want it, but there are others out there who would.

Re: Price question survey / 84 GMC

well its got a nice liftgate and the body is in good shape... id tend to say you would get like $1200 here in the north east but alot depends on where you are in the country.. urban areas tend to get less for the truck than a rural area.. i will say the truck is in real nice shape and i wish mine looked as nice try doing comps on ebay and see what you get

Re: Price question survey / 84 GMC

persionaly i always wanted one of those lift gates..now if that was n 3/4 or 1 ton truck i wouldnt think anything of it..but since its on a half ton, the truck has more than likely been over loaded...plus the gate is not that lite to start with..id say 1500.00..personaly id pull the lift gate off of it, put a tail gate on it and sell it that way...also take the ladder rack off,, but i would start at about 2500 for the truck and see where it goes, since it is a clean truck..

Cool Re: Price question survey / 84 GMC

Ive actually never overloaded it ever.
What I have usually used it for was was to transfer my motor parts and assembled motors to and from the machine shops, head shops, and what have you.
Once in a while I use it for the scrap yard for steel remnants, or to the local boneyards for parts pick ups.
For the most part its been a daily driver to and from work, about 20 minutes one way 5 days a week and do weekend stuff with it.
Ive picked up a 72 cab from GreenHornMale up in Pittsburg, Calif...about 8 hours from here, picked up an Eaton axle east of Sac-town with it, trailer it a few times to move my mini trucks, and just recently used it to help a friend with a Buell.
He had a flat rear tire so we rolled it on to the tailgate and it picked it right up!!!

The truck sits level, rides quite smoothe, and drives perfectly straight!
I do have a set of Moser axles for this truck that are brand new and never installed yet!
Had I kept it, I had planned to air bag the axle, add the Moser axles and toss in an Eaton Posi.
That would handle it alike a 3/4 as much as I would prefer it to.
The truck was ordered as a 1/2 ton.
That is how I received it.

Otherwise it's been a fine truck.

Only reason to sell it is is that I located a 73 454 3/4 ton Chevy truck.
This newer truck for me suits my needs currently.
