help me chevy 1 ton 4x4 burb is called?

the 72 i have done have not gotten the emblems yet i do not know what to put on it
have all wood grain loaded ac so i would like to put the right emblems on it i know one of them and thats the 454 one on the front of the fender but the rest ? help me out guys lets see who knows there trucks thank mike

could i call it a super 30 series or not?

There are one ton Cheyenne Supers out there. I have a friend that has one. I don't recall the emblem configuration though.

I was looking for the same thing for my GMC burb it will be easyer for me i think the gmc just say 3500 but I think the chevys all have c30 on there 1ton emblems.

Here`s what I`d do...The top-of-the-line Suburban was the CustomDeluxe,no Cheyennes.That`s a Custom/10 or Custom/20 emblem with the rectangualr "Deluxe" below,right?Just go out and get a pair of Custom/30 badges which are common since that`s a basic 1t.Now,you have your factory-looking CustomDeluxe/30 fender badges.That`s what I have for my`72 Highlander.That`s being sold,now.So my`71 shortbed CustomDeluxe will get the axles and badges.

so just get custom/30 and the deluxe goes under that so weld the holes shut and start over by the holes that are in the fender now it was 3 ems 1 on top of another and the one under the marker light i don't want to look like a jackas with the wrong emblems on there thanks for the infro special k i need cats like you

special k I had never seen any thing other then the c/30 emblem that cool wish I would have known that for the blazer.

Yeah,69-72 had them.71/72 were base trucks,so lots of those out there.69/70had them,just add the Deluxe which was 71/72-only.
I just want to see this thing.

hay is that deluxe em about 1/2" high by about 5" or 6" long if so i have them

They may not be correct for that year but with the other mods you can't go wrong adding the older pre 70 (?) stock 4wd emblems that go under the sidemarker.
Here is a set on some rust free OE fenders I pulled from a '69 4wd.

Yeah,on the "deluxe" emblem.They go right below the Custom/10.They are just like the "super" emblems that go below Cheyenne/10.

yes i do have the deluxe. the custom 30 no. the 4x4 emblem and the 454 emblem do i put them together or just pick one? or will one go with the custom&deluxe?

to be correct the 454 would go under the deluxe and the 4x4 under the blinker unless chevy does it diffrent then the GMC.

thats how my 68 2500 is and as far as I know its origanl.

on the backside of the fender and under the sidemarker it would say

4 WHEEL DRIVE.

I think that's right,its been awhile.I know the motor size decal was in a different spot when they had "4 Wheel Drive" emblems but dont know the order of the badges on the side of the fender towards the door.

What year is your`Burb?By the grille it`s a 71 or 72.They never had the "4 wheel drive" emblems and the motor designate is located under the marker light.In 69/70 the engine designate is located under the fender badge and there were no CustomDeluxes or CheyenneSupers,so no extra smaller "Deluxe" or "Super" emblems.67/68s never had engine designates.The Custom/30 emblems are easy to find used.I posted a WTB and got apair and a single N.O.S. one.

it is a 1972 was a 1/2 ton two wheel drive put a 87 3/4 ton chassis with 1 ton dana 60s rears so thats why i am lost here

I would think since there was no such thing as a k30 truck let alone a burb as long as you got it close know one would no the diffrenc and if they did they would no there was never such an animal any way. but for what your trying to do it sounds like from what special k is saying for your year truck all you would need is the custom30 dont use the deluxe and put the 454 under the marker light.

Why not the Deluxe?There were CustomDeluxe 10 and 20 Suburbans.That was the best you could get.I just think it`s cool to do your own thing that GM could have,but didn`t.And,make it look like they did.I`ll be toolin`around in a shortbed Stepside CustomDeluxe/30 some day.It may be a Highlander,too.

I didnt think they had the deluxe burb. I had a 71 and it had a custm emblem but no delux it must have been removed at one time

Yeah,I`m not sure if there was a Custom,but probably tomake the middle level up.The Custom Deluxes had the fabric seat covers and scroll in door panels. just like the trucks.

mike409, as close as you can get to correct for a 71-72 would be custom/30 with the deluxe under that, and your 454 emblem would be under the front side marker light. That would be the top of the line for a burb. Eric
