headliner speakers

Does anyone have or is using a headliner piece that has speakers and such in it? Seen one I liked at a carshow But it had no name , logo or owner insight to ask. Looking for something to dress up a stock steel roof.

Re: headliner speakers

I've got one in mine. The radio is hard to operate because of the height and angle, but's better than the radio bouncing around in the huge hole the PO hacked in the dash. Once I get around to patching the dash I plan on running power window switches up there.

Re: headliner speakers

BE CAREFULL WITH THE SCREWS!!!!!
You have less than 1/8 inch in some spots.
The PO of my old GMC installed a headliner, used a drill to run the screws THROUGH. There was 4 or 5 of them poked up through the roof.
Double check, but I don't think they make that headliner anymore. I think it was called a hilander or something like that.

Andy, that pic always cracks me up!!! it looks like something i would do, just not on purpose!!! oh and the highliner is in the current lmc catalog. Its a bit pricey. I have yet to see one installed to know if its worth it to me or not.
I have heard that the speakers aren't so hot that come in them.

Re: headliner speakers

I think a year ago someone on here tried ordering one and LMC said no can do. Most of the guys that have/had them, seem to like them.
As for the pic, and it making you laugh... I hate the dope smokin old man that bastardized that poor innocent old truck. Some of the things he did to it in a drunken stubor would make you cry.

I guess it is kinda funny though.
