what would be the difference in prices between the two in the dallas/fort worth area?

Are you asking sand blast and soda blast? you may want to go to the body and paint forum there are a lot of guys that say do not use powder to strip and there are a lot of paint brands that the worinty is void if used after soda for stripping.

I say use a powder, but then again, try this same question in the paint and body section might get some better answers

sorry bout that. I had a case of rectal cranial insertion. I meant to ask whether or not it would be worth the extra cost to powder coat or if I should just paint the frame. Any ballpark figures on what the cost difference would be would be appreciated. I have had no experience with this.

I’m betting the powder coat is going to be twice as expensive. You can paint the frame your self and save a bundle. Look into Rust bullet, that’s what I would do.

You could also try galvanizing. Its supper cheap compared to powder coating and you can paint over it black or leave it if you like the silver look.

You can look to spend 3-400 to powder coat your entire frame. That is including sand blasting it. I have a great guy in the area if you need his contact info.
