I'm thinking about installing bags for the suspension on my 65 gmc. got a friend who thinks it would be better. could someone tell me the difference between traditional suspension and using air bags. not worried about slamming just gonna drop for rod effect.

thx tom

Air bags are an air bladder that you can adjust the pressure on to change the ride height. The pros are adjustable ride height, load capacity, and being able to lower it all the way when cruising, and lift it up for better ride quality the rest of the time. Cons are more expensive. more mechanical components, maintenance, and usually having to modify some components to work correctly.
