Drive Shaft questions
Im running a TPI setup with a 700R4 on a 72 c-10 short bed . The question is is it ok to use the two piece drive shaft or do a custom single shaft . Is one better than the other , pinion angle issues ? need to know thanks guys

Re: Drive Shaft questions
Ditch the 2-peice. A one peice is way better and will slip right thru the carrier bearing hole (a great driveshaft loop).

Re: Drive Shaft questions
Probably the best option would be to run a two-piece shaft, but with a rigid polyurethane carrier bearing and a slip and stub shaft on the rear. This basically eliminates any movement of the front shaft and interference issues with the crossmember. With the adjustable suspension (bags) your pinion angle may need to be adjusted depending on your actual ride height.

Re: Drive Shaft questions
i am bagiing a 68 longbed and i am using a two piece drive shaft from an 80 model chevy truck. the drive shaft has splines in the middle so it can move in and out. i have to have the front shaft shortend and the back shaft lengthened. i am going the mount the carrier bearing to the same cross member that im making for the wishbone and lower bars. this way i can stay away from tunneling the cab for the drive shaft. that is my plan anyway.
