Re: rat rod pics

I saw this pic today & thought of this thread. I get confused easily because I cant picture any vehicle that combines the words "ratrod" & "truck" unless its a 30's-40's truck maybe. I would call this a hot rod more than a rat rod. I think it kicks a$$...

Re: rat rod pics

that last pic posted by Corn got my attention! i have done numerous searchs for something like that using a c-10. anymore pics like that? i would like to see it with 68-72 body. i was going to junk out a 68 cab, but started messing with it about a year ago and am building something like that, but roadster style. everyone says that it cant be pulled off because the cab is to wide. i left 14 inchs of front fender in place, then added about 2 inchs of the hood to cowl, and then exstended the fire wall out in front of all that about 3 1/2 inchs. moved the cab back about 3 feet, put a 47 ford coupe suicide front axel out front. all i ever read is negative comments about this cant be done, but i like the hell out of how this is turning out. right now the mock up is tore back down for more paint work. i really would like to see more pics along these lines. pkj
