lifter

need to chage the lifter an push rod,an spring will it have something to do with the compresion i hav cam it a s/b 350 do not pick up speed number 1 lifter in lose can not tighten it nomore

From what I gather you have a flat camshaft lobe. If that's the case then the camshaft will need to be replaced. Or it could be the rocker arm stud has pulled out of the cylinder head.

Is the engine stock or have there been modifications done to it?

It would make it much easier to diagnose if we know what those are. What all has been modified? Need to all the specifics on the engine. That will give everyone a better idea of what happened or is going on.
