Cruise control unit

Just read the thread below about cruise controls and it got me to thinking---Where would one find the vacuum control unit that is mounted on the motor and it connects to the carb? The reason I ask--those units have a tendency to wear out the metal eyelet that the rod fits into (for the carb rod) and I am not sure that anyone remans those modules anymore. I am looking for one as a backup to the two trucks that is in the garage--may need itt osme day.

Re: Cruise control unit

Check with the board vendors. Or subscribe and post a WTB on the parts board. If this turns into a WTB or someone starts offering them up for sale we're gonna have to edit.

I am just looking for supply sources. mine are working, but in the older days you could get a reman from GM, but now no one appears to list units like this anywhere. If anyone knows of supplier outlets for these units, then we can go from there. I have looked at many aftermarket suppliers so far and these are not intheir inventory. Appreciate your concerns, but looking for data only.
