Sierra Snow

Took a load of firewood up to Donner Summit in my old truck. I'm amazed that it can still chug up those 6% grades. I was surprised to see a dusting of snow up there.

I finally got around to fixing the light in my heater control box and also got a light for the rear license plate hooked up. Been wanting to do that for years. I almost waited until dark to come back home.

Re: Sierra Snow

Nice pics Joe.

Where is that overlook and is that Donner Lake in the backround?

That truck of yours sticks out....saw you (or at least your truck) couple weeks back at a Roseville intersection....I work out off Washington.

Great color!

Re: Sierra Snow

Yep, that's Donner Lake in the background on the overlook at ol' Highway 40, and Sugar Bowl Ski resort with the dusting of snow.

As far as the build goes....I just try to keep it running!

I putt the old truck around Roseville on the weekends. I live out off of Baseline Road. I see a lot of nice trucks in the area we always try to wave to all of our classic truck friends.

Mine's just an old truck hiding under some new paint. I really love the new 2007 Fall cover on the LMC Truck catalog.

Re: Sierra Snow

Yes, I rattle-canned the grill, bumpers and rims. That custom flat spot on the front bumper is from my sister when she started it in gear in the garage around 30 years ago. My dad fixed the cabinets in the garage along time ago but never worried about the truck, and I didn't want to straighten the bumper since I have gotten so used to it.
