how does vr ground???
im still having electrical issues with my truck, its not charging. i was just wondering how is the voltage regulator suppose to be grounded. theres one wire coming out of the bottom which is grounded to the frame. but is there suppose to grommets between the vr and the rad support? there isnt any on mine and just last week it stopped charging. some people swear there is suppose to be grommets in between and others say its suppose to be metal to metal. it has a new battery, alternator and vr, and my truck still isnt charging. anyone have any ideas???

I don't know why it isn't charging, but take the alternator back to where you got it for them to test. It might be defective. Same with VR.
Or...return the parts and get a 1 or 3 wire int. reg and be done with it. They work great and take 30 minutes to install. |

hmmmm... i did sink down low enough to have the alternator tested at advanced and it showed it was charging. could there be a possibility it was wrong?? i have power to every wire that suppose to. but there isnt power going in the two wires between the alt and the vr... dude im lost, the joy of owning a truck i built hahaha....

regulator is to be mounted by rubber grommets for vibration protectionn then theres a black wire from the regulator that mounts to the rad core support and rad core support is grounded to frame

had the same problem just went witha 3 wire intertnal voltage reg alt using install here http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=119379 got my alt off a 83 chevy k-10 with 350, and it looks stock fixed all my problems alt was 39.99 at advance auto and 30 mins to install
