Re: Rear axleshaft 5lug conversion?

When I changed my 67 over to 5 lug I just took my axles to a machine shop and had them filled in and redrilled, and also the center had to be cut down to fit. The guy at the machine shop didnt charge me anything so it must not be that hard.

Re: Rear axleshaft 5lug conversion?

It has been a few years ago,but if my memory hasnt failed me completly,I used rear axles from a 65 impala 12 bolt rear end in my 69 short stepside. If I remember correctly they slipped right in,and I just used the Impala brake drums also. I beleive I saw this discussed on here a while back.
