Re: Let's see some sbc mighty mouse motors!!!!

383. I made it out of a 1971 Monte Carlo 350 and a 400 crank a machinist/bud had laying around his shop. Stock heads (rebuilt). Edlebrock carb (1406) and aluminum intake.
Pulls my boat around easy enough. However this thing could really use some upgraded heads.

Here's mine, but its not in a truck. Its a 540HP 11 : 1 383 with ported 230cc Dart heads, Comp custom roller cam, ported Wieand Team G intake, 830 cfm Holley race carb, and Holley Annihilator ingnition. It runs 11.20's in a 3400# stock suspension 82 Z28 street car. I have run a best of a 11.86 @ 127 in the 1/4 (6.97 @ 102 in the 1/8) with a small NOS 100HP plate system. Click the link to hear it!

Re: Let's see some sbc mighty mouse motors!!!!

Here's my POS. 406 SBC, 882 heads with a slight port & polish (don't know why, I would have upgraded to a better casting myself, I bought it this way), Torker II intake (going bye bye for a Performer RPM when I replace the cam), RV cam (soon to be upgraded) and a cheap set of headers from a board member.

I just need to get the timing set and tune the carb a little, and I'll be set for now.

Not much to look at, doesn't run like a raped ape, but it's mine.

(This is the best pic I can find right now, sorry)

ya, lol burnoutnova

if you note the names of the parts i have listed they are of quality. i intend on running a 2 stage nos system. eventually dual turbos, i will have to upgrade to a dart block to handle the hp i want on the turbos. 1000-1200hp. so the little engine sets in my computer room awaiting my lazy but to get the truck done were it stays dry free of any dirt, grinding dust, plasma dust and won't easily be stolen...
