where to take scrap sheetmetal in Oklahoma?

If any of you okies (OKC area) out there have ever dismantled a truck - where did you take your junk sheetmetal to dispose of it? ---

Any of you non-okies, what type of place deals with this stuff in general - metal recycling places, salvage yards, or ?

I'm , just trying to get rid of a junk cab and a couple of other things - (its really junk - if it was any good- i would give it away for someone else to use)

With the price of scrap, everybody and their Grandma is buying it.Any of the big scapers should take it. Check who's buying alumimium, they may take it.
There are scrapers in Durant,Hugo, Idabel and Paris.Any major town should have one.

Re: where to take scrap sheetmetal in Oklahoma?

I ended up hauling mine to the county dump. I had to take the sawzall to what was left of it to get it all to fit in the bed of my truck and it's a good thing too cuz the dump here won't take anything that is too bulky but they had a dumpster set aside for scrap metal so in it went.

Where is OK? Several places in OKC that will take it. If you don;t have a title you will have to cut it up first.

metal check doesn't take steel. You will have to go down to Reno to one on those scrap yards. Standard Iron won't take whole vehicles, but there is another one down the street from them that is suppose to.

thats pretty much what i did with the un sellable scraps from a few vehicles// unless theres a place real close that will pay, the time and gas money as well as wear and tear on me and my vehicle doesnt make it worth the effort
