Automatic Shift Upgrade?

I was at the lake this weekend and some poor fellow, who had to launch solo, watched his rig popped out of gear and go in the drink! (Picture below) OK, it was only a Ford, but that could have been me! I've noted that my shift on seems a little loose. It has popped out of park before. I recall hearing somewhere that there is a replacment for the shift linkage that is an upgrade of the OE version. Any of you know about that?

Thanks!

PS- I do set the parking brake
