side exhaust
I was wondering if any of you guys had a exhaust system that exits on the side in front of the rear tires. I thought that it would look pretty cool and was wondering if it would work.

Re: side exhaust
I personally do not like it, but that's what was on my truck (both sides).

Re: side exhaust
i have had so many configurations. here's the 1st 2 styles, and the tips in the last pic are what i'm about to do.
the 2nd pic shows the hedman square tips, they shine real nice (better than my dirty pic) but 1 fell off so i ripped the other one off.. and i lowered my truck and the pipes hung too low.. so i cut off my exhaust, sectioned my headers to bring them above the frame rails, then put the mufflers on and broke my finger. so i have to heal before getting the tips in the 3rd pic all set up. |

Re: side exhaust
Truck guy:I bet thats a pretty good sounding system but probably a little to loud for me. I live over in Edmonds.
Matt:I really like the looks of that set up! Sorry about the broken finger though. |

Re: side exhaust
unless you have chrome or stainless pipe all i would want to show off is the tip. i had the pipes hang below the frame and a 90 out, but the pipes were so ugly. i'm going to run the pipes above the frame this time.
also the sound with side pipes is funky.. it echoes off the cars or bridges next to you and it makes you look, but then you realize.. it's you makin the noise. |

Re: side exhaust
