Sport mirror gaskets?

So, I just got my sport mirrors on and I realized I don't have any gaskets for them. They're just screwed right into the door. This isn't really a problem for the paint on my truck since it's kind of a POS, but I would like to have some eventually.

Does anyone sell the gaskets for sport mirrors? I'd love to be able to buy some.

P.S. - it's pretty weird driving with these little mirrors after being used to the trailer-style three point ones that were on it previously. Does someone make them for the passenger side in concave so you can see more of the road behind you?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Sport mirror gaskets?

You can buy some gasket making material at most auto parts stores. That should work. I would like to find a wide angle mirror for my passenger side too, unfortunatly I have never seen a full size mirror that is wide angle on anything but big-rigs.

Re: Sport mirror gaskets?

Check the forum vendors first. They should sell them. Just so you know they are actually black plastic pieces, not the usual gaskets.

Okey dokey.

If any vendors happen to be reading this (CaptKaos), please send me a PM. Otherwise, I'll ask the vendors as I come across them.

Re: Sport mirror gaskets?

I ordered a pair of sport mirrors from LMC recently. They came with new hard plastic gaskets, screws, and the brackets that the mirrors screw on to. Pretty complete package.

I don't think I can get the gaskets seperately from the mirrors. I can check and will post back. They are hard plastic, so you might can find some from the salvage yard.

Re: Sport mirror gaskets?

Negative. I checked all my connections and cannot get the gaskets seperately.

Re: Sport mirror gaskets?

Yeah the sport mirrors really did take some getting used to vs. the elephant ears.
