WIW Looonng stepper

Talked to the seller today on the phone - seemed like a sincerely honest nice guy. 48k on odometer - he doesn't know if it's 1 or 200k - bought from his friend - salvage title - titled as a 70 C-30. 9(?) foot bed Runs great - 350, 4 speed w/granny gear, edelbrock intake, holley 4bbl, no manual choke. No fluid leaks. Only rust is on drivers rocker, pinholes under the weather stripping there. He said there is no more anywhere, not even the inner fenders... all solid. Wood bed is rotted out but all the metal is there - he has plywood down and a rubber mat. Mechanically solid and so is sheetmetal. He said there is a lot of chrome on the engine but he's not into that.... Interior is all there and in good shape. He helped freind out for 2k, then put about that into it (breaks, ignition, tires, exhaust, etc). He said he knows he's not getting that out of it and is thinking about 2k. I think he'll take 1800. I'm only interested because of the long bed (I think it's neat) and it'll take some convincing momma before it comes in the yard. Good deal or pass?

These are the only pics I have right now.

Wow that's quite the battle bumper he has rigged up there. Really, what's $1800 anymore? If it runs and drives Ok why not.

Re: WIW Looonng stepper

Original owner was a traveling welder - supposedly, he kept his oxy/acet tanks on the running boards so the mounts for the spare are not there. I've seen this kind of bumper before but I can't remember where... anyone recognize it as related to any particular trade? Just curious on that part.

That's not a bad looking truck for the price. And it's one of 1542..Those are getting hard to find in rusty shape, let alone a nearly rust free one.I'd buy it for 2k....
