I run Kelly AWRs.They are cheaper. But,I may need to go with Coopers next.Last spring I got theonly set around of the Kellys.I think they are a milder "All Season" compared to those Coopers. It`s hard to find mud terrain 255/85s.

Re: Looking for good 255/85/16 tires

Thanks for the response agent k. Not a lot of options out there in 255/85's. BF Goodrich makes a mud terrain and cooper makes the discoverer st. I found a couple of others that I did not care for. Thats why I posted here, to see if anyone else is running them. Toyo make a nice looking one but its pretty pricey.

im running a 255/85 Wild Country MT. it's tough finding a tall narrow radial. i would prefer something like a true 35/10.50R16 for my 16X8's.

Re: Looking for good 255/85/16 tires

Bridgestone makes a tire called the "timberline", marketed under the company "Dayton". We just put these on a work truck. So far, they are quiest on the road, and have good manners in the rain. I am anxious to see how they do in the snow, cause I am looking at getting a set for my '85 K20. The 255/85R16 list for about $95, I think.

Re: Looking for good 255/85/16 tires

I have used the dayton timberline tires on my work truck in the 245-75-16 and liked them a lot. Didn't know they were available in 255-85-16. I will have to look into them. The last set I bought for my work truck were firestone transforce at's because they had a deal on them and I could get them cheaper than the daytons, otherwise I would have bought another set of daytons.
