Got it home! Introducing......Project "Squash"

I got it home last night, but it was too dark to take pics. I named it "Squash" for it's color (I figured 'Pumpkin' was too obvious) and also because I will be "squashing" it when I redo the suspension and lower it. Don't look for too much progress right away. I'll finish my Camaro first.

Immediate plans for the truck are to leave it alone and drive it on the weekends.

Long term plans are to give it a static 4/6 drop using CPP and ECE stuff, drop in a 406 and a 5-speed, and throw on a set of 20" Budnik's. The body will remain in it's current, un-touched, patina-beautiful state (except for rust repair).

Here is the truck:

Here's a photo-chop of what I want the truck to look like when finished:

Here is the Camaro I have to finish first:

Alex,

Didn't realize you were so close. Me and Squash are gonna have to come and see ya.

I just moved here from Texas. I'm needing to get my Camaro aligned (to my specs) and also need to find a good exhaust shop. Can you recommend any shops in our area?

Here in Arkansas, that color was what the Highway Department used on their vehicles. Looks like a familar color to me. But our neighboring county painted all of their vehicles purple. County judge said he wanted folks to know when one of their vehicles was sitting and nobody was working.

Re: Got it home! Introducing......Project "Squash"

Wow! Can't believe this thread got brought back to life!

I still have the truck, but there really hasn't been any progress on it. Shortly after buying it I hauled it to New Mexico to store at my mother-in-laws in her garage. I've been slowly finishing the Camaro (almost there).

I plan on going to New Mexico over spring break and bringing Squash home. Except for engine choice (going with an LSx as opposed to a 406 - anyone want to buy a couple of nice 400 blocks?) my original plans are still the same.

I'll definitely start a build thread when I get it back home.
