heater alternative?
is there any other heating system to buy for these trucks, whether you need to fab something or they make kits for them? mine is in pretty bad shape and i dont see remanufactured ones anywhere.

Are you planning to drive all winter? If so fix the heater.....
If not, then consider a 12V in car heater......

its a 71 so it has the plastic casing part, and then there is a circular part on the far pass. side of it, thats all rusted. i probably wont drive it in the winter but we do get cold ones so its not like i'll take it out entirely.

It sounds like you are describing the heater core housing and the fan is all rusted. The fan motor isn’t very expensive.

I've seen Hot Rod heater kits go for around $100 and you remove that firewall heater housing. I've been thinking on doing that.....
