Instead of a spare tire you can put a Fiat 500 in the back.

I see those things alot over here and I´d be scared to drive something on the street as small as it is.

Lots of politics in car shows, can't let it bother you (used to do the bike shows). Killer is the balls, nice work!

do shows all the time and there are a lot of politics involved but still really fun, nice truck killer and that impala is one sick ride ,had to look a minute to see tires

If that El Camino is what won first place, the judging is flawed...or the class divisions are. Car show setups don't always follow a standard format. That's a shame. There should be some standardized class format to be followed in any car show in which there will be prizes/trophies awarded. It would make all car shows equal in that respect, if the participants are as varied as most shows are. An exception would be a truck show specific to a given make, in which the classes would be set up by (let's say) year, stock or modified, etc.

I have seen too many shows in which awards are made for vehicles that are outside of the class in which they participated. For example, a buddy has a really, really clean '82 SWB that he has owned since new. He has restored it to better than new, after hitting a deer several years ago. I one particular show, he competed against another guy I know who was showing two trucks. In this show, the class was broken somewhere between the 82 model and the 86/87 that the other guy was showing. Yet, the later trucks were given trophies in the earlier class, while the 82 received nothing despite being a much, much nicer truck. The 86 has a dent in the right front fender, but it's an original paint, lower-mileage truck. Still, it isn't in the same class as the 82. Sour grapes for the older truck owner, but the club that set up the show and judging is to be faulted for their judging inconsistencies. Can't be fixed now that it is over, but it causes potential participants to weigh whether or not to make a drive for a show if they aren't going to get treated fairly. Shows that want people to come from further distances should consider their actions if they want their shows and their clubs to grow.

But I'd take that '60 Pontiac, if the owner would keep the wheels that are on it. I'd want it to have a set of 8-lug aluminum wheels of the 61-67 body styles. The bubble-top '61 Impala looks good, too.

Don't care for the el camino as much as killer, but the red 71-72 truck with the shaved drip rail looks nice too.

I've competed in shows for years, and yep you got dinged. unless the undercarriage of the camino was spotless, you took first.

well let's just say you won the 67-72chevytrucks.com show with flying colors!!! beautiful rig.....

What size wheels did the 61 Impala have? From the looks of the rear wheels I can't see any rubber on them......as for your ride ,yeap you got cheated
