Muffler Bearing or two
Searched out the FAQ's, tons of them with the word "exhaust" in them, but to no avail.
What I need, with your help, PLS. is a pic of the factory hangers or a site to find them on, My PO got real creative about 5 different hangers under there. I will post up pics as soon as possible so you can see for yourself Any help at all, small or large, as I'm stuck and need to get the exhaust done so I can fire up the engine

Re: Muffler Bearing or two
Hey J, do you have a factory assembly manual? I haven't looked in mine yet, but maybe it would be in there...maybe? I'll check.

Re: Muffler Bearing or two
I looked through the entire assembly manual and found one page that showed hangers but not locations. Maybe I missed something...that's a big book!!

Re: Muffler Bearing or two
Jaros: I have duals on both my blazers I got walker brand hangers. Walker brand mufflers and hangers were at one time some of the best available.
Thick metal and good rubber. you can bend the hangers and they don't break or crack. I have hangers connected to the cross sill past thr transfer case and the ones for the tail pipes are connected to the frame |

Re: Muffler Bearing or two
Thanks Pound, I'll look into Walker and see what types are available. I'd like to see what the original looks like, but I guess that's not happening
You're right about Walker at one time

Re: Muffler Bearing or two
Jaros: I looked at my 71 Blazer. I knew I left the original Hangers on it. The back one was a little shoehorn looking tab riveted on to the crossmember of the frame. My dad'd 72 stepside with a 402 came with factory duals. You might get a better response on the truck board because I know some of them came with duals. I don't think blazers did

Re: Muffler Bearing or two
Thanks, I see the shoehorn tab riveted to the frame, plus 4 other hangers in that area, my guess was the riveted one, but there is nothing else with it. I'm going to stop at the chevy dealer tomrrow and see if they can help.
Thanks for your time, sounds like your Dad has a cool truck, any pics.??? J.
