Will a 68 posi unit fit my 72?
A guy on ebay has a posi unit frorm a 1968 3/4 ton. He says it should fit my 1972 GMC 3/4 ton if I have 17 splines on the axle.
Does anybody know for sure?

If you have the HO52 corporate axle (non-Dana),then they are the same.I believe the splines are all the same.Anyone know better?

I'd say thats a good thing to look at..have him describe the diff cover ..if its the same as yours..either salad bowl cover H052 or the dana style.
