Anyone have any experience/opinions on any of them? I see three main players in this game:

ART $1300- does it all, pressure and height

Dakota Digital $900- same features as ART but cheaper

Airlift Autopilot $600- Pressure only

I've seen the ART in person and like the idea, but damn, $1300... Dakota's looks a little more reasonable as far as price, but how is it day-to-day? Airlift I don't even think is worth the $$, no level inputs...

Opinions/experience/inputs anyone?

Try Accuair Control Systems, I don't know how the quality or price stands up to the others, but they do offer a similar setup.

Maybe someone has some experience with this company and product?

We carry our own KP Components Digital Height Controller system that is made for us by Dakota Digital. We offer the system on a pressure based, proximity based, or proximity and pressure based together. The system retails for $795.00 (less with supporting member discount) and we do offer a hand held wireless remote seperately.

The thing that's nice about the DHC unit is that it features 3 programable settings that can set by the user. Most people end up with (1) show stance (2) ride heigth (3) custom setting. The system can also be used with an external controller such as a hand held switch box as well. That way you can play around with the truck then send it back to the desired heigth by pushing one of the programmed buttons. The proximity system reads off heigth sensors which will not be effected by the number of people, or cargo added to the vehilce.

Our unit also has a speed controller built into it that lets you select the speed of the output signal going to the valves. This helps tune the speed of the vehicle when opperating the air system. It's perfect for individuals who are looking at running a smooth and classic system that's not super fast.

I like the idea of pressure and height control together- mostly due to marketing making me think that it is superior

What exactly is the problem with "cross-loading"?

Also, does the control unit have to be hard mounted with the Dakota system? I like the fact that the ART piece can be hard mounted or 'floating'.

Does $795 include both style sensors? What is the discount like?

that, and i get a bit anal about having a level, low ride down the interstate and keep fudging with things until i'm happy. problem is, i never become happy.

Dont mean to jump in this but AUTOLOC also has a pretty nice system utilizing something similar to what Dakota Digital has for much less. Check them out if anyones interested I have them for about $375.00 starting for the plug and play system. Check them at http://www.Autoloc.com and check out Digital Air Managment. Here it is and this system goes all the way up to 8 Presets for less then $600.00

I have install Dakota Digital stuff in more than one vehicle and had nothing but trouble with them. In my own opinion they are nothing short of junk I would not even install them in my in-laws cars.

I personaaly like the new Air Lift system. t's w/o height control but do you realy need this. For 700 you have all you need and it's a fast system. I also like the ART stuff but it's a litte overpriced in my opinion.

Yes!!! You don't want your system to be off of pressure. You want it to be based off of suspension location. These are the same systems ran on Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escaldes, Lincoln Towncars. These are ran in many cars stock. Accu Air has taken it to the next level. Call them up and talk to Dustin or Reno. They are suppose to be coming out with a new system that is suppose to be cheaper priced. I have installed 2 of there newest system and it is sweet. Blow's Air Ride away. I installed one in a 68 burb and a 99 tahoe. Both cars have lift on command start feature. You don't need to touch a thing when you start the car/truck. It will go right to your ride height and be with in a 1/8" every time. See if a pressure based system will do that.

Looks like it's the same as the $799 one next to it minus the valves. It is meant as an upgrade to an existing system. Here is the linky. Good deal it looks like from suicide doors. It's $625 directly from Airlift. Just gotta decide if I can live without height sensors...

That's what I mentioned above. All I can say is that I use this system and I love it. Additional features are leak test, voltmeter, button for pancake, button for saved ride height, button to raise all four corners, manual or autoatic use and so on. Here's a link of mine:
