Has anyone installed one of these???

My '72 never came with a tach from the factory and I have been looking at the different options from stock, Camaro, column mount, and something else. Well, I got a new Speedway catalog yesterday and I found this vintage looking SW tachometer that is 3-3/8". I am wondering how it would fit in the factory tach hole?

Has anyone here installed this tach or similiar 3-3/8"???

I have a similar one installed in my truck. Mine is the marine application but there's really no difference except better vibration dampening.

Was there enough clearance for the printed circuit board? Did the stock SW mounting bracket work OK?

Like a lot of people, my truck did not have a tach, so I have the circuit w/o tach. There was not enough clearance, so I did a bunch of trimming around that area. Then I just put it in. The two lines or wires (whatever you call them) at the top of the circuit just bent around the tach. As for the stock bracket, I don't know. I didn't have it so I made my own from some scrap.
