I'm looking for a nice 79 Chevrolet horn cap that goes on the center of the steering wheel. I think 79 and up are the same??
It's the later style with the wider horn cap. Obviously I don't have one so no pictures, but if you have pictures I can recognize it. Thanks.

I have 1 off my 87 somewhere, I would have to find it. I think different trim packages were different horn caps, but not sure, it could have been the year differences. If I can find mine, I will snap a pic and post it up.

BigBlock 79- Thanks but that's not the one I',m looking for. The one I need is about 1/3rd wider.
Edman 87- Did you ever locate the one off your 87?

Is this the one you are talking about?

I just bought an '80 and I might have a tilt column lined up with a wheel on it so maybe I can sell you mine...if I get the other column.

Do you have any more pics of your truck? It looks a lot like mine.

BowTieOgre- That's the one! Can;t believe they are so elusive. Are you interested in selling it or are you waiting on your tilt wheel first?
No other pics of my truck at the moment. It belonged to my father-in-law who bought it new. I put a rebuilt 350/350 drivetrain in it, new tires/rally wheels, dual flowmasters,restored the interior, and my wife now uses it as a daily driver. I call it my new truck on an old body.
Blue_71- Do you have one that matches the pic in BowTieOgre's reply?????

That is not the 1 from my 87, mine is the narrow 1. I havn't located it yet, but havn't had a chance to look in my storage k5 yet.

Im calling the guy with the tilt this morning and if that goes thru then I would be willing to sell my original steering wheel. Just so you know LMC has the horn caps for $30. I will take a picture of mine at lunch so you can see the condition. I got the picture above off of Ebay.

Well the tilt column turned out to be a fairly beat up junkyard piece the owner claims he paid $150 for...im just not seeing it so I guess im hanging on to my steering wheel and horn cap for a while.

Here is what i have. Looks to be in decent condition. Does $30 plus shipping sound fair? That is wheel included. I think it should clean up pretty good. Eric
