7 bladed fan
I have a fan off the 350 that was in my truck that is 7 blades, not evenly spaced and the blades are somewhat flexible and rivveted to the center hub vanes. is this a good choice for my truck????

Do you have A/C in the truck? If so Then no, if not then it's fine. A/C trucks need either the clutch driven fan or electric fans.
This is only my opinion and not to be considered the only choice.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

No A/C , so I guess I'll give it a try. The truck seemed okay with it before I tore itdown 4 years ago. I only drove it a few weeeks after I purchased.

I would ditch the flex fan. The aftermarket ones are well documented to explode, and GM recalled flex fans for the same reason.

I wouldnt trust any fan...except for the old steel ones. I had a GM clutch fan break a blade off and go thru my wrist. I was tuning a Holley on one of my old El Caminos. I put my hand on the left front fender up by the core support leaned in and and revved the motor. The blade broke off...hit my wrist and split it open and broke the bone there.
  NEVER! Trust these fans. I could have lost my hand that morning and would have only been 23. I use the old school all steel ones or electric now.

Ok, I thought flex fans were the type with the flexible blades (obviously). But the guy above had a clutch type fan fly apart. I thought fans with clutches were NOT flex fans
 I have a flex type now, and recently obtained <what I thought was> a non-flex fan, and it has a clutch on it... but it sounds like this is the type that can also blow apart? What do I need to get? |

if it was a true rigid fan, that is a very rare happening.
Your clutch could explode and fly through the floor, but it's HIGHLY unlikely. A rigid clutch fan is pretty dern safe. |
