Are the transmission crossmembers(th400) on a 68 396/auto truck different than 69-up? the front holes line up, but not the rear. was a six cylinder 4 speed truck, now gonna be a 69 396/400 truck. thanks for all help

While I don't have an answer to your Q... is there a chance you have it going in backwards?

Mine looks the same as any other 67-72 auto x-member. Maybe not all the frames came with all the holes drilled for different trans mounting positions. If everything else is the way you want it, bust out the drill and go for it.
You are talking about the holes in the frame, right?
