What Size Tire w/18" Wheels? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm currently running 16.5" aluminum slots with 9.6r16.5lt tires. My tires need replaced, but a local search, including Summit, only turned up 1 set of tires @ $277/ea.

So...I have approval from the wife to get new wheels and tires...something I've been wanting anyway.

I've decided on a set of 18" wheels but I'm not sure about the tire size. Can anyone suggest a tire that will be about the same height?

Just put 18's on mine.

Tires are 275/55/18 & 255/50/18.

Tire's are around $150 each.

Do either of you know the outer diameter of the tires?

This calc will give you any tire diameter if you know the tire size.

A 9.5R16.5 is around 30.5" tall. A 265/60R18 is a fairly common size that's the same height and around 1" wider.
