Sport Bumper on SWB Stepside Question

got a new sport bumper for my 69 swb stepside - but I have a question on brackets. I have removed the step bumper that was originally on the truck. now I need to buy brackets for a sport bumper, but didn't know if standard swb fleetside bracket would work. I've looked in LMC, but there is no "specific" brackets for my setup.

do I just go with standard swb fleetside brackets? do you fellow stepsiders running sport bumper setups know? thanks for the help, guys!

Re: Sport Bumper on SWB Stepside Question

They are the same brackets. Don't forget the gravel shields.

Re: Sport Bumper on SWB Stepside Question

To me they add support, but you don't have to use them. Some my past trucks did not even have them.

For as long as I've been here, I did not even know these things existed until the past week when I put my sports brackets on... I have never even seen them in a single post!
Can't help with your question though (LWB)
