Question Thinking about buying...

There's a 62 or 63 short wide 1/2 ton 4x4 that has been sitting on the street for a few months now, hasn't moved. Has collector tags, good for a few more years. My questions are:

Was Chevy doing the 4x4s for this generation of trucks, or was it still the NAPCO conversion?

How much would you buy it for/offer? I don't have any pictures right yet but it's got the usual fender rot from what I can see driving by. No big dents, good glass. I'm assuming it doesn't run, don't know for sure.

What were the engine and trans options for this year? Axles? T-case?

I'm a 67-72 guy so this is kinda new to me. It looks like it still has the old bias ply tires on it, still hold air. No major leaks, just rust. It has always caught my eye so I'm putting together a plan to buy it, maybe around the end of winter. Have to finish a few other projects first, mom says...

Thanks,
Dan
I'll get some pics soon, maybe this weekend.
